Well our first Season of this winter’s mixed singles campaign is over. This was our biggest ever boxleague with 19 boxes, 10 divisions and 76 players. Overall we played 108 matches which is a record!! There were 6 unavoidable concessions, all due to illness/injury – Phil Rendle (2), Richie (3), Jon Pryce (1).

Under the sweltering sun on Saturday afternoon 24 brave pairs fiercely contested a new handicap doubles tournament. Matches were played as a tie break to 21 with team handicaps ranging from scratch to + 16 determined by players’ finishing positions in the popular Winter box league.

We regret to announce the passing of Terry who died on 8th May 2014.
Terry was at various times club captain, secretary, treasurer and trustee and did an enormous amount of work on behalf of the club.
As a player he represented, Wales, the army, South Wales and the club. His ambidextrous style confounded many opponents.
